Our Mission & Core Values

At Gateway Hunger Relief Center, our mission is to eliminate hunger in our community one person at a time.

Gateway Hunger Relief Center is a ministry extension of Gateway Church in Richmond, IN. Each month, we provide food for over 1000 families and we are constantly growing!

Our mission as an organization is to:

Reduce hunger in our community
Providing food to fill the basic need of hungry people
Increasing the independence of our clients through self-help initiatives and other innovative programs
Raising awareness of hunger and poverty and working towards solutions to eliminate them

A great place. Very kind and caring volunteers to look out for you. They make sure you have enough food. I have never seen anyone not smiling and being happy that they are there to help you. I personally will say that they have made a major difference in my household--whether or not I got to eat towards the end of the month. GOD BLESS YOU GATEWAY & VOLUNTEERS!

Took everything I had to hold back my tears. First time I've ever used a food pantry & I was overwhelmed. Gateway volunteers are absolutely the best. All were so kind, smiling & unbelievably helpful. Recieved more food there then I normally buy in a month! Wonderful people doing Gods work all the while enjoying themselves. I'm so touched & thankful.
